Nimisha Bathla
Founder / Creative Director at Asaii
From commerce student to NIFT graduate and seasoned designer, Nimisha's journey has been far from ordinary. After working as a menswear designer, she took her pursuit of design to France, gaining valuable insights into aesthetics, creativity and fashion management. Back in India, Nimisha delved into merchandising for international buyers, yet her heart yearned for something more.
Growing up in a conservative family, Nimisha's father's insistence on shirts became her signature. Her childhood, colored by her mother's artistry on various mediums, planted the seeds of creativity in her. Asaii, a product of her experiences and stories, reflects the essence of familiarity and comfort - from the loose shirts to the hand-painted stories on them.
She epitomises the art of keeping design simple yet special. Drawing inspiration from real life, she has a unique talent for turning the mundane into magic.

Meet Gaya, a wanderer and free spirit, currently anchored in Goa until they find a new beat to their rhythm. A community builder at their core, Gaya is the eclectic being behind all brand communications for the label.
Despite arriving in Goa only a year ago, Gaya has made their mark in the city as an enthusiastic innovator, helping startups scale and build community across platforms. You’ll often see Gaya behind a laptop spearheading communication strategies or skillfully translating complex ideas into digestible content for brands.
