Audience of Mountains

The mountains have a way of changing us. Khayati's time in the mountaintop village was transformative when a week turned her from stranger to a cherished member of the community. The frequent volleyball games, memories and long talks all etched in her memory, and as she looks back on them now, she knows that they changed her. The mountains watched over them, standing tall and majestic as if they, too, were witnessing her journey to a new self. The metamorphosis is ongoing, never truly complete, but always present, always pushing her forward to new heights.
