जीना - to live.

Gina’s shirt came from her journey with padmasana.

For most of her life, even basic movement came with pain. When she first came to India, her hips were extremely tight and sitting cross-legged hurt. Lotus felt out of reach on most days.

What changed for her wasn’t overnight. It took time, effort, a lot of tears, and the right people coming into her life at the right moments. And slowly, things opened up. Today, her lotus isn’t just deeper, it’s pain free.

We translated that into her piece through hand-painted lotus flowers. Hidden within them is “जीना” (Jeena), her name in Hindi, which also means “to live.”

That meaning sits at the centre of her story. For a long time, she didn’t feel like she was living fully or honestly. That began to shift with sobriety, and then more deeply through her time in India.

She’s been here for a few years now. And as she puts it, "I still wake up in amazement that this is the life I get to choose to live every single day."
